Village Broadband Campaign
Hethersett is a blackspot for broadband speed according to an article on the BBC website which can be viewed by clicking here. The "League of Broadband Shame" shows Hethersett to be the fourth slowest place in the country with an average speed of 1.6MBps (Megabytes per second). This situation could be improved by BT installing fibre optic broadband and to do that our village has to record 1,000 votes in favour. Votes have to be cast by the end of the year and can be registered by clicking here. Hethersett on the Web will campaign for faster Broadband. The more pressure we put on BT the closer we will get to them making the improvements. Please pass this message onto anybody you know who will support the campaign. It seems ludicrous that we have one of the most progressive communities and one of the most backward technologies. You can also read a story sent to the local Media by clicking here.
