Hethersett has taken the first giant steps towards becoming a green village.

A “Green Village” working party has been set-up consisting of parish councillors and other people with an interest in reducing the village’s carbon footprint. It has already met twice and produced a leaflet under the auspices of the Hethersett Environmental Action Team (HEAT).

The leaflet will be distributed throughout the village in the near future and gives hints on energy saving and ways to help arrest climate change and global warming.

A special information day for the public is being planned for Saturday May 31st in Hethersett Village Hall when companies involved in energy saving will be on hand to offer advice and help.

More information on Hethersett and green issues is available on the internet at www.greenhethersett.org.uk
