It’s almost time. After planning and waiting and looking forward to this cruise for a year, in just 40 days we will be onboard Vista, Carnival’s newest ship which launched in May 2024.
Peak season in the Med on a brand new ship – it’s incredibly exciting but working with the team at Carnival has also presented to me my biggest blogging challenge so far in my blogging career.
Bloggers tend to write about things they’ve done or experienced, but when me and four other blogger ambassadors were chosen to represent Carnival back in 2025, the vessel we are sailing on was still under construction in the Italian shipyard!
Over the last 22 months as Carnival’s Sun Seeking blogger, I’ve produced a suite of blog posts to build excitement and momentum for a ship I’ve never even set foot on! I’m really proud of that fact and think I’ve done a good job, but you be the judge.
Through my 7 Carnival posts so far, I’ve tried to cover every aspect of the ship, stacking up posts on the food, the entertainment, the kids facilities and the family splash fun. Plus, drawing on my previous cruise experience I wrote a post containing tips for first time cruisers and I also wanted to encapsulate the feel of Carnival overall and their Switch on Fun philosophy.
It’s been a challenge to speak with authority about an experience I’ve yet to have but fortunately the excellent marketing team at Carnival HQ have supplied me plenty of information as the ship’s development unfolded and have allowed me ‘behind the scenes’ access to the latest news to come out of Vista. My video below shares some exclusive information about the Vista’s onboard micro brewery, and I got this weeks before the liner launched to the public.
Soon I’ll be bringing you blog posts that share exactly what we did, felt, saw and tried onboard Vista, complete with our family photos and top recommendations so you can plan your own Vista vaycay. It’s an exciting time for Carnival, Vista opens up a new class for the company, being the first ship in the Vista class with a second ship – as yet unnamed – set to debut in spring 2028.
